OK, this post has nothing to do with Social Distortion, but since the band won't be back on tour for a few days, at least it's something to read.
I was proud to read in the Dammed post that in SF we don't have to go to a House of Blues location or purchase tickets thru ticketmaster to see the band here. One of the many small things I love about the city is the many great show venues we have. Here's a fun little article I found about them:

We don't have the best music scene here, but we have some great places to see shows. Some of these are actually owned by large corporations at this point, but at least still have that indie feel. (The Fillmore still has greeters and free apples!)
Just thought I'd share, maybe it will inspire some of the bands on the board to play here, or others out of town to visit!

Question: Do you know if the the chatterbox club

Mission district is where its at. Dolores Park is one of the most beautiful places in the city. for real.

Did some checking, the Chatterbox Club is gone, it was were Amnesia is now. There is a book about the club, it closed in 1990. Sorry you don't like the Mission Brit, love you anyway!
Thanks for your inquest Jen.The Club cloesed just two years after i was there.Was a couple of years not in San Francisco.Last time was in Decmeber/January at the airport to change the plane to San Diego.Should visting the city again mmh!? Thanks again Jen!
It's funny you guys should be talking about this, my boyfriend is moving to SF and wants me to join him, but I'd much rather move to San Diego. SF is too cold for my Arizona blood.
